Thanksgiving Week!

Hello Parents and Families!

This week we are learning new and exciting things, as well as reviewing some things, including:

Literacy/Reading:
Learning new sight words: him, with, up
Reading and retelling stories of the week with a partner
Continuing walk to reading programs

Writing:
Writing "I am thankful for..." journal entries.

Math:
Practicing creating repeating patterns; AB, ABB, ABC, AABB
Continuing walk to math programs

Social Studies/Project:
Learning about communities and community helpers
Visitors from policemen and firemen
Reading Buddies activities

Special Events/Notices:
- Miss Crowl out on Monday, Nov. 19th
- Field Trip to the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art on Wednesday, November 21st 9:00am-1:45pm (selected chaperones have been notified)
-Thanksgiving Holiday: no school Thursday/Friday November 22nd-23rd

The Week Ahead

Reading and retelling stories of the week with a partner
Continuing walk to reading programs

Writing:
Continuing to write small moment stories using sketches and words

Math:
Practicing creating repeating patterns; AB, ABB, ABC, AABB
Continuing walk to math programs

Social Studies/Project:
Learning about communities and community helpers
Learning about the weather and weather men on our field trip
Learning about Nurses and medical community helpers
Reading Buddies activities

Special Events/Notices:
- No School on Monday, November 12th - Veteran's Day
 - Field Trip to the Science Center for 3TV Weather Forecasters on Wednesday, November 14th 11:15am-2:30pm (selected chaperones have been notified)
